Safety & Trust
Last updated: September 13, 2026
Aviggo is a local work and services marketplace that helps people discover nearby skilled people, service providers, businesses and work opportunities. From first contact online through in-person work, safer outcomes depend on platform safeguards, clear records and responsible decisions by each user.
This Safety & Trust Policy explains practical steps for reducing risk, recognizing suspicious conduct and responding to safety concerns. It should be read with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Standards and Prohibited Services & Items Policy.
1. Purpose
Aviggo aims to give users information and tools that support informed decisions before work or services begin. No online marketplace can remove every risk, so safety is a shared responsibility.
2. Shared responsibility
Aviggo can operate platform-level safeguards, but many aspects of an in-person job, workplace, payment, equipment and user conduct remain under the direct control of the people involved. Verify what matters, pay attention to warning signs and stop an interaction if it feels unsafe.
3. Review profiles before deciding
Before working with a provider, customer or business, consider relevant profile information such as name, services, skills, experience, completed work, ratings and reviews, service area, availability, business information and any licence or qualification relevant to the job.
4. What verification or badges mean
If Aviggo displays a verified status, badge or other trust indicator, it is generally a signal about specified information or platform activity. It is not a complete guarantee of future conduct, service quality, financial reliability or personal safety. Unless Aviggo expressly says a criminal background check was performed, verification should not be treated as one.
5. Qualifications and licences
For work that legally or professionally requires a licence, registration, certificate, training or specialized qualification, you may ask to see relevant evidence before work begins. Providers remain responsible for maintaining any authorization required for their work.
6. Agree on the job before booking
Where possible, confirm the scope, date and time, location, price, materials, extra charges, expected duration, cancellation terms and completion criteria in writing. See the Booking, Cancellation, Refund & Disputes Policy for related rules.
7. Use Aviggo messaging for important details
Keeping important job terms in Aviggo messaging creates a clearer record for both sides. If scope, price or timing changes, confirm the change in writing. Available platform records may help with later safety or dispute review.
8. Be cautious if pressured off-platform
Ask why if someone immediately insists on moving communication away from Aviggo, avoiding platform records, using unusual payment channels or acting urgently. Off-platform communication is not automatically fraudulent, but it may be harder for Aviggo to review events that happen outside the platform.
9. First meetings and work locations
For a first meeting with an unfamiliar person, choose a safe, familiar or public location where appropriate. For home or private-location work, consider telling a trusted person when and where the work will take place.
10. Home-service safety
- Check that the arriving person reasonably matches the booking or profile.
- Keep unrelated sensitive documents and valuables secure.
- Clarify the areas the provider may access.
- Verify unexpected additional people if they arrive.
- Stop the work if the situation feels unsafe.
11. Provider safety
Providers also have the right to assess safety. Obtain reasonable information about the location, scope, contact person, physical risks and payment arrangement before accepting work. You are not required to continue an interaction that appears unsafe or unlawful.
12. Location and Near Me
Near Me and location-based features can help users find nearby services. Share precise location only when necessary and with the appropriate person. Avoid publishing a full home address, routine travel schedule or other sensitive location details in public profiles or reviews.
13. Protect personal information
Do not share full copies of identification documents, passports, bank statements, card information, private images or other sensitive documents unless they are genuinely necessary for a lawful purpose. Verify who is requesting the information, why it is needed and where it is being submitted.
14. Never share passwords, OTPs or PINs
Do not give another user your Aviggo, bank, mobile-financial-service, Google, Facebook or other account password, OTP, PIN, recovery code or login verification code. These credentials should not be required to complete an ordinary marketplace transaction.
15. Suspicious links, files and QR codes
Be cautious with unfamiliar links, shortened URLs, APK files, documents, QR codes or login pages. Check the domain and sender before entering credentials or making a payment. Do not install suspicious software or files.
16. Verify before paying
Before sending money, verify the job, amount, person and payment destination. Use extra caution with large advances, full prepayment or transfers to unfamiliar accounts. Keep receipts, transaction IDs or other payment evidence where possible.
17. Advances and deposits
Some legitimate work may require an advance for materials or preparation, but an advance is not automatically safe. Verify the amount, purpose, refund conditions and provider identity before sending a significant deposit.
18. Common scam warning signs
- Unusually high earnings or unusually low prices;
- pressure to send money immediately;
- large advances before work begins;
- requests for OTPs, passwords, PINs or card information;
- payments through unrelated third-party accounts;
- unknown links for login or payment;
- refusal to provide basic identity or job details;
- fake receipts or payment screenshots;
- promises of salary or commission only after you first send money;
- pressure to avoid all platform records.
19. Job and income scams
Carefully verify offers that require registration fees, security deposits, training fees, equipment fees or other unusual payments before work is provided. Be especially cautious where the actual work is unclear but guaranteed or rapid income is emphasized.
20. Businesses and shops
A Business Profile does not remove the need to verify relevant service terms, delivery arrangements, warranties or payment instructions. Use of a brand name, logo or business identity does not necessarily mean Aviggo has independently verified every claim made by that business.
21. Physical and high-risk work
Electrical, gas, construction, work at height, heavy machinery, hazardous materials, transport, medical or other safety-sensitive work may require training, protective equipment, licences and compliance with local law or professional standards. Do not proceed if safety conditions are unacceptable.
22. Equipment and property
Clarify who may use tools, keys, access cards, vehicles, devices or other property and when they must be returned. Verify identity and need before handing over valuable property and keep a record where appropriate.
23. Children and vulnerable people
Services involving children, older people, people with disabilities or other vulnerable persons require additional care. Applicable law, guardian consent, supervision, professional qualifications and safeguarding requirements must be followed. Child exploitation, grooming or sexualized requests are strictly prohibited.
24. Harassment and unwanted conduct
Threatening, stalking, sexual harassment, bullying, blackmail, discrimination or violating personal boundaries is not acceptable. End the interaction, move to safety where necessary and report the conduct.
25. Violence, threats and weapons
Threats of violence, assault, forced confinement, extortion, intimidation with weapons or other criminal conduct are prohibited. In immediate danger, do not wait for a platform report to be reviewed.
26. Refuse unlawful or unsafe requests
Do not accept work that is unlawful, dangerous, fraudulent or prohibited by Aviggo policy. See the Prohibited Services & Items Policy for more detail.
27. Emergencies
If there is immediate physical danger, violence, fire, a serious accident or an ongoing crime, prioritize your safety and contact the appropriate emergency service. Bangladesh’s national emergency service is 999. Aviggo reporting and support are not substitutes for emergency services.
28. Report safety concerns to Aviggo
Use the available Report option for fraud, fake profiles, harassment, unsafe services, prohibited items, misleading information, privacy violations, review abuse, threats or other policy violations. See the Reporting & Complaints Policy.
29. Preserve relevant evidence
If a safety incident or dispute occurs, keep relevant booking details, messages, transaction records, receipts, photos, screenshots, dates and other evidence. Do not fabricate or alter evidence.
30. Ratings and reviews
Honest ratings and reviews based on real experiences can help other users make decisions. A review is not a complete background report, and one negative review is not necessarily conclusive proof of every allegation. Fake bookings, review manipulation and retaliatory reviews are prohibited.
31. Repeat customers and prior experience
A successful prior interaction may be a useful trust signal, but confirm scope, price, location and safety conditions again for each new job. A good previous experience does not guarantee every future interaction.
32. Account and device security
Protect your email, connected Google/Facebook account, device lock and Aviggo account. Log out after using a shared device. If compromise is suspected, secure the connected account and notify Aviggo where appropriate.
33. Privacy and safety
Balance providing information needed for safety with avoiding unnecessary disclosure of private data. See the Privacy Policy for how personal information may be processed.
34. Actions Aviggo may take
Depending on available information and the seriousness of a risk, Aviggo may request evidence, restrict or remove content, issue warnings, limit matching or messaging, suspend accounts, permanently close accounts for serious or repeated violations, and cooperate with valid lawful requests.
35. Limits of a safety review
Aviggo may review information available on the platform, but Aviggo is not the police, a court, a regulator, a professional licensing authority or a forensic investigation service. Final legal responsibility is determined by the competent authority.
36. False reports and misuse
Knowingly false reports intended to retaliate, harass or harm a competitor are prohibited. A good-faith report is not a violation merely because it cannot later be proven, but fabricated evidence or knowingly false allegations may lead to action.
37. Cooperation with authorities
For serious crime, valid court orders, lawful government requests or other legal obligations, Aviggo may preserve or disclose information as permitted or required by applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
38. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Aviggo adds features, identifies new risks or responds to changes in law and marketplace experience. Material updates will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date.
39. Contact
For safety questions, suspicious activity, account concerns or questions about this policy, use the current contact method on our Contact Us page. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service instead of waiting for Aviggo support.
